Madagascar has approximately 257 species of reptiles of which more than 90 percent are endemic.

Madagascar does not have any salamander, bullfrogs or caecilians.

Thes frogs are mostly found in the eastern forest. In Andasibe alone, more tha 50 species of frogs have been discovered.
